Clarifying Notice For UF & FSU Applicants

This year, both FSU and UF require students to complete this online self-reported academic record as part of the application process. Apparently, some students aren’t getting it quite right, so FSU has issued some clarifying instructions. The most common errors are:

1. Mistakenly entering non-academic courses
2. Failing to enter all courses for the entire senior year
3. Listing only a repeated class without showing the initial attempt and grade earned

Here’s the gist:

1. Some students listed all classes on their transcript; FSU and UF want only the core academic classes as well as ALL AICE, AP, IB, and dual enrollment classes. DO NOT  list band, chorus, P.E., agriculture, engineering, journalism, debate, SAT/ACT prep, M/J classes taken in middle school, criminology, culinary, mass communication, video, web design, health science, personal finance, TV production, drama, HOPE, driver’s education, religion classes considered theology, etc.
2. Many students listed only current semester courses. Second semester classes must be included as well, with grades listed as "In-Progress." Unsure of 2nd semester? List your most likely schedule. You can update the SSAR as soon as your 2nd semester schedule is finalized.
3. Did you repeat a class? All attempts and grades earned must be reflected on your SSAR.

Be certain that your SSAR is squeaky clean! You may lose your chance for admissions because of omissions or discrepancies!

Once your SSAR has been re-locked, FSU admissions will receive the updates automatically. No need to resubmit your SSAR ID Number to FSU. Make your corrections and updates by Friday, November 15. Incorrect SSAR information can impact your December 17 admission decision.
